The bassins are filled with young fish.
There are fingerlings now at the plant in Gamst, Vejen, and the pike perch plant is up and running.
The juvenile fish have only one thing to think about and that is to grow so that they can become adults by early summer.
The new Pike Perch Plant in Gamst, Vejen
The state-of-the-art plant, which re-circulates the water 100%, is central to AquaPri’s ambition to continue the successful development of pike perch farming and production in Denmark.
It will enable AquaPri to stay a world leader in the field of pike-perch farming, and will give us the opportunity to expand our production, as well as our pike perch research activities.
The plant has been build in Vejen Municipality, Denmark, in a location with excellent infrastructure, close to both motorway and an international airport. It is co-financed with USD 3.9 million by the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries and The European Union and was inaugurated officially on April 1st, 2016.
